The Strike Team is composed of members of various local technical rescue teams in the 5 county area of Region 2. These teams include:

• Ashtabula FD
• Cleveland Fire Department Technical Rescue
• Lorain County
• Heights Area Special Rescue Team (HASRT)
• Hillcrest Technical Rescue Team (HTRT)
• Mentor FD
• Southwest Emergency Response Team (SERT)
• West Shore Technical Rescue

The local teams are usually comprised of members of fire departments from a number of separate cities. For instance, SERT is staffed by and provides services to 19 communities in southwest Cuyahoga county. Each local team contributes manpower to perform team training and operations at the Regional level.

In addition, the various regional teams in the State of Ohio can respond to assist each other in times of emergency.
